Kitchen and wall system cabinets from Aran Cucine’s Volare collection make a bold statement in this newly renovated penthouse in the prestigious Trump Hollywood building in Florida.
The 41-floor Trump Hollywood is one of the newest luxury oceanfront condominium properties in Hollywood Beach, FL, just north of Miami. The contemporary glass tower features 200 expansive residences, including an 11,000-square-foot two-story penthouse. The penthouse unit was completed but not occupied until its latest owner moved in following a massive renovation project. European Cabinets & Design Studios Miami provided the design and furnishings for two kitchens, laundry room, some 20 closets, and interior doors.
White, high-gloss lacquer cabinets from Aran Cucine’s Volare collection feature in the unit’s main kitchen and secondary kitchen. The large laundry room and storage area also feature cabinets from Aran Cucine, as does the unit’s 20 closets, along with built-in closets by Pianca.
The client came to ECDS by way of a recommendation made by a former client in Los Angles. It was somewhat of a dream project in that the client has no special requirements, besides to have a unique interior with state-of-the-art cabinetry.
“The design work of these areas was really the result of our expertise and experience,” said Miami showroom manager Victor Tulchinsky. “The project took about six months of hard design work, consulting with the Italian factory designers before all of the areas were finally approved by the owner.”
For the countertops, they went with Compac engineered quartz in light gray and white for the large and small kitchens respectively.
Victor and his team also selected the high-end appliances to be installed, including a SubZero wine refrigerator, and the oven, speed oven, cooktop, and coffee maker by Miele.
“We know the market in Miami. Today people want mostly super modern kitchens. They are all light colors, and the majority of them have some kind of bold contrast color,” says Victor.
Of course, on a project of this magnitude, there are a number of different tradesmen all jostling to complete their tasks at the same time, says Victor. “But other than that, it went pretty smoothly.”
